Meet my bike buddies.
Jerome, above, and Emmanuel, below, were are two wonderful guides on this trip.
Jackie from Vermont was a great source of laughter and smiles.
Chris from Australia and Brit from Phoenix were our two computer game developers who were intent on climbing Kili.
Chris from Boston was our extra bike repairman, ever cheeerful and positive.
And, of course, my trusty folding Bike Friday.
It was a real novelty with everyone we met.

Here's some trials and tribulations on the trip.
Jackie was the "flat tire" queen on this trip.
Gorgeous Views.
Steep, tough, dirt roads.
Rested and happy.
Exhausted and sad to see the trip end.
Happy and healthy but still sad to see the trip come to an end.
Sick and tired.
This Masai medicine man mixed me up a concoction of barks and roots to cure my diarrhea.

And some of the friends we met on the way.
So where are we anyway?

|
A small private school along the way.
Kids came out of the woodwork to just be near us!
Kind of overwhelming at times but most times joyous.
Our guide, Emmanuel, in his home with his sister and grannie.
Some obstacles in the road.
