Wayne and Ildiko are my first guests from Spokane.
Their friends Miki and Atsuo were wonderful guides on this trip to Kyoto. What a gift they all are.

Lucky me, i got to fly home the day after Christmas and spend some of the winter holiday with my family and friends back in California. Of course, Mom, made me a turkey.

This one's for my Japan friends who haven't had the incredible luxury of feasting on a home roasted turkey. This turkey is small, only 13 pounds. The big ones can be up to 20 pounds!

This is the view from the top of the mountain. We are looking south down on a man made island, Rokko Island, and a beautiful conservatory below us.
We hiked up and took the gondola down.
